Chris Anderson
trumpet and flugelhorn
Since 1998, Chris Anderson has been the lead trumpet and principal horn arranger with
Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes. With the Juke Horns, he has played with The Allman Brothers, Bruce Springsteen, Little Feat and Jon Bon Jovi. He toured and recorded with Donald Fagan’s New York Rock and Soul Revue. He spent his early career with some of the greatest salsa bands in the world including Ray Barretto, Hector Lavoe, Luis “Perico” Ortiz and Celia Cruz. Chris is a founding member - with saxophonist John Isley - of New York Horns. Their initial EP “Tunnel Vision” released in 2000 was downloaded by more than 350,000 fans on mp3.com. Their latest CD “New York Horns,” released in the summer of 2014, has garnered rave reviews. Some other touring credits include Michael Bolton, Ben E. King, Illinois Jacquet and Blood Sweat and Tears. He is a graduate of Manhattan School of Music.
